Document Delivery

Document Delivery service allows patrons to request the following types of items that are not currently held by the ACG libraries, or they are not available in full text.

How to submit requests via Discovery

When full text is not available, you may submit a Document Delivery request by following the steps below.

1. Locate the item record in Discovery .

2. Find the 'Request through Document Delivery' button under 'Check Availability' and click on it.

3. Fill in the request form and click 'Submit'. 

If the item record is not available in Discovery, you can submit a request via the Document Delivery Form .

Electronic copies of articles and book chapters are usually available via email within ten (10) working days. 

 

Charges

We are able to offer most items for free, however, charges may vary depending on the source of the item. If there is a cost associated with your request and that is more than €5, we will contact you before purchasing. To pay for document delivery, you’ll need to come by the library.

 

Book requests

Faculty and staff can request books not available at ACG from the British Library by submitting the Book Delivery Form .

 No. of Requests  Up to 2 books at a time
 Loan Period  Three 3 weeks for each book
 Costs  Free - The library subsumes all costs

Due to copyright restrictions, articles and books from the British Library can only be provided in print. The books or their photocopies cannot be placed on reserve or distributed to your class.

Please return books on time or email us at [email protected] to renew them, to prevent fines to the library.
