Following the recent announcement by the Ministry of Education, we are pleased to announce that the library is re-opening today for study and research. Our priority is to protect the health and safety of everyone in our community. We therefore ask you to adhere to all necessary social distancing requirements and other precautions detailed below.

All users are required to wear a face mask while in the library and maintain a minimum of 1.5 meters distance from each other. Before entering the library please sanitize your hands using the antiseptic gel provided at the entrance.

Operating Hours

  • Monday-Friday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Saturday-Sunday: Closed

Library Spaces

The group study rooms will only be available for use by one person at a time. In addition, priority will be given to students taking exams and faculty who need to teach online. For this reason, we have removed the group study rooms from the online booking system. If you need to book a group study room please contact us.

Library computers will be available. Use the disinfecting wipes provided to clean the keyboard and mouse before each use.

The Library Café will remain closed.

Library Material

The book stacks remain closed off and access for browsing is not be possible. You can request books through Discovery and we will collect them from the shelves for you. You will then be notified when the books are available for pick up.

You can return books you have on load during operating hours. All books returned to the library will be placed under a 3-day quarantine to minimize possible spread of Covid-19. For this reason, delivery of material may be delayed.

If you are out of town and you are unable to return books please email us at [email protected] so that we can extend the loans. Alternatively you may return the books by post or courier service.

For safety reasons headphones and chargers will not be available during the summer semester. You are strongly advised to use your own personal headphones and not share them with others.

Library Services

All library workshops continue to be held online. You may check the full schedule and register online in advance. We will continue to offer individual consultations through MS Teams. To request an individual consultation contact us by email at [email protected], or by phone at ext. 1267 or 1434.

Document delivery services will continue to run as usual.

For more questions, please contact us.
