This seminar emphasizes the importance of good RDM practices in ensuring the quality and organization of research data.  RDM excellence applies to all levels of research experience, acknowledging the diversity of models of research inquiry that exist and respecting that there are legitimate differences in standards and needs across all disciplines.  Attendees will learn the basics of the RDM life cycle and will be introduced to tools and processes that ensure the reproducibility and accessibility of research findings.

Metrics Mania: Making Sense of Journal Rankings 

This workshop empowers researchers to measure research impact using various tools. Learn about the significance of research metrics, differentiate between various author, article, and journal metrics. Utilize key journal metrics like CiteScore, SJR, and Impact Factor, analyze author metrics to identify influential researchers, and evaluate article-level metrics to gauge research impact, enabling data-driven decisions in the scholarly world.

This workshop provides essential skills for navigating the complex world of scholarly publishing. Learn about open access and closed access publishing models, understand the benefits and considerations of open access, utilize tools to find reputable journals, effectively evaluate potential journals, and confidently navigate the publishing process, ensuring your research reaches the right audience while avoiding predatory practices.

Track All Things Scholarly: Building Your Interconnected Researcher Network 

This workshop guides you in creating and interlinking your ORCID, Scopus Author ID, and Researcher ID. Gain insights of Web of Science (WoS) & Scopus into filtering for potential collaborators, identifying leading research institutions, and staying current with the work of fellow scholars.
