Statistical data and reports are very significant information sources in most fields of study, including business, the social and natural sciences. Company, industry, consumer, and other data provide useful insight on how businesses, markets, societies, and nature work, and can serve as persuasive evidence when writing papers. However, never forget to examine how and by who the statistics that you intend to use were gathered, as the collection and sampling methodology may influence data analysis and interpretation.

Doing Business Guides The "Doing Business Guides" are designed to advise and assist UK companies when looking to trade with and invest in opportunity-rich overseas markets. the guides are composed of market and industry sector-specific, multi-format print and digital trade reports, together with some of the internet’s most visited international trade websites.
International Trade and Investment Country Facts | Bureau of Economic Analysis The International Trade and Investment Country Facts application provides information on US trade in goods and services, direct investment, and the activities of multinational enterprises for individual countries and country groupings. Users select a country from an interactive world map or a searchable menu. The application generates a country factsheet with graphs and tables showing the latest data on US trade and investment with that country.
TCdata360 | The World Bank TCdata360 provides open data on trade and competitivenes. The site aggregates and visualizes data from multiple sources and presents it in tandem with other knowledge and resources.
UN Comtrade Database | United Nations The United Nations Commodity Trade Statistics Database provides free access to detailed global trade data since 1962. It is a repository of official international trade statistics and relevant analytical tables.
UN Trade Statistics | United Nations Statistics Division UNSD collects, compiles and disseminates detailed trade data (by commodity/services category and by trading partner) for both merchandise trade and trade in services. UN Comtrade and UN ServiceTrade, data dissemination system, offer free-access to official trade statistics as reported by countries/areas.
World Trade Organization Statistics The WTO provides quantitative information in relation to economic and trade policy issues. Its databases and publications provide access to data on trade flows, tariffs, non-tariff measures (NTMs) and trade in value added.
WTO publications | World Trade Organization The WTO produces a wide range of publications on various trade-related issues. The vast majority of these publications may be downloaded from the WTO website while printed copies can be purchased through the Online Bookshop and the WTO Bookshop in Geneva.
