What is Espresso from the Economist?

Espresso from The Economist is an app for those, who are busy and prefer to get "shots" of news on current global issues. Apart from short reads on top stories and analysis, the app also offers “The World in Brief” news summary, daily podcast and audio versions of articles, and fun extras, such as the "fact of the day", the "quote of the day", the "chart of the day", and a daily quiz.

What are the app's main features?

The Espresso from the Economist app allows you to:

  • listen to the audio versions of articles;
  • check the reading times for each article;
  • use the "Settings" to:
    • enable "Dark mode" for more comfortable reading;
    • edit topic preferences to tailor your content and view it under the "For you" weekly reads section;
    • adjust text size to meet your needs;
    • enable notifications, or
  • share articles via social media or email.
